I am a self-taught artist and big sister who grew up in Fowlerville, MI. Painting has been a special interest of mine since I was about 12 years old, and I enjoyed elective art classes throughout grade school and college. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with my Bachelor's in psychology in 2022 and am now two years into a master's program at Wayne State University for both Counseling and Art Therapy. In addition to my roles here at D & M, I am a Therapeutic Arts Specialist for Canton's Partnership for the Arts and Humanities, where I use my passion for art and working with kids to help run the ACE program. I've also had a lot of fun getting to paint the windows for the Factory, and have begun to dabble in mural painting as well. In my personal art, I love using references from art and design history, especially art nouveau styles. I also frequently include animals and floral elements in my work. I received an honorable mention for my piece "Noveau Ballet" in the Three Cities Art Club's Juried Exhibition at Westland City Hall.
As the assistant director and an instructor here at D & M Art Studio, I work behind the scenes on our Instagram page, planning many of our children/teen curriculums while also running and instructing various classes and camps. I am experienced in working with children and adults who have support needs or are disabled.
